Rob Koning - singer/musician
My name is Rob Koning from Amsterdam. I'm a singer and musician who has been active in the music industry since 1984.
After taking a break in 2002 from composing music, I returned to music production in 2018 and have been releasing my work under the artist name KONING ever since.
I am fascinated by creating electronic experimental music and draw inspiration from artists such as Enigma, Solar Fields, Kate Bush, and many others.

I began my musical journey in 1984 as a singer, which led to numerous performances, as a solo artist and as part of various bands. In addition, I was frequently sought after as a studio session vocalist, contributing to many productions that I still look back on with great pleasure.
Eventually, I began writing my own music, which culminated in the 1996 release of my first solo single ‘Desert Calling,’ which I put out independently. By 1998, I had even released my first full-length album, ‘Back To The Rainbow’!
After spending several years focusing entirely on web design and graphic design, I returned to music in 2018 as a composer and singer; since then, I have been releasing my work under the name KONING.

I was born in Amsterdam in 1963.
My creative journey began around the age of 21, when I founded my first vocal pop group in 1984. In addition to singing in various bands, I also had the great pleasure of appearing as an extra and in supporting roles in several Dutch films and TV productions.
In the year 2000, I began developing my skills in web design and graphic design, and over the years, I have had the opportunity to create many websites for various clients.More than 40 years have passed since then, and I still couldn't imagine life without this work.
